Chem-Trend Mono-Coat 1713W – Biocompatible Release Agent for the Manufacture of Medical Silicone Products。
Mono-Coat® 1713W is a biocompatible release agent which Chem-Trend has developed for the manufacture of medical silicone rubber products, such as moulded
medical tubes, protective caps and closures. The semi-permanent, water-based release agent is certified in accordance with the USP Class VI panel of tests, and
therefore perfectly suited for use in the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
“Because of its high level of purity, its excellent biocompatibility, and its high resistance to mechanical stress silicone rubber is widely used for medical applications,”

The new Mono-Coat® 1713W release agent:

• Ensures easy release of the finished products from the mould;
• Facilitates the manufacture of clean parts;

• Offers multiple releases with little to no transfer to the moulded part.
In biological compatibility tests, Mono-Coat® 1713W was found to meet the requirements of a USP Class VI. The USP sets the standards for prescription and
over-the-counter medicines and other health care products sold in the United States, as well as food ingredients and dietary supplements. The panel of tests was
conducted by NAMSA, a medical research organization that provides expert regulatory, laboratory, clinical and compliance services to medical device and
healthcare product manufacturers.
Mono-Coat® 1713W is one of Chem-Trend’s first process chemicals that got approval according to the USP Class VI standard for the manufacture of medical
silicone products. Previously the certification was also granted to Chem-Trend’s Mono-Coat® 1973W, which is used in the manufacture of non-silicone medical rubber
components.
